8 Random Things About My Day....

1.  It was dark when I went into work, and dark when I left...fall is officially here.

2.  I had a patient yell "Sarrrrraaahhh" from 645 am to 715 pm.   

3.  I had a patient that broke my heart, which is no small feat.

4.  I watched the birthday video we've made for Blake and cried.

5.  I had a hot pocket and honey nut cheerios for dinner.

6.  I had a chair massage at work!

7.  I only got to see 15 minutes of the OFFICE because Nick set reruns of HOUSE to be priority.      booooo

8.  Benson ate a TON of fudge that was on our kitchen table, then left us a suprise on the rug.

9. I'm in need of a new book/series, please recommend some so I won't post random blogs at night!

A Day with Blake:

Saturday night we carved pumkins for the girls.  I really want to have family traditions that Blake can look forward to every year, and this will be one of them.

Our Trip to Arkansas

We had a great trip to Arkansas last week.  Lots of fun with lots of family.

My dad and stepmom moved into their new house...sooo much room and it's gorgeous.

I'm a brave Mom...that is MY Mom, Stephan, Caitlyn, Blake AND Tyson on the four wheeler, they went really slow.

We have to get her a rocking horse asap, she would say "WEEEEEEEEE" as she rocked!

The airplane trips are getting harder and harder...as a baby, Blake would almost always fall asleep when we were taking off.  This trip she didn't sleep at all.  The trip there was fine, they had an extra seat so Blake got to stay in her carseat, which was sooo helpful.  The flight home was packed, AND it was during nap time. It took a lot of entertainment to keep her content, but we made it with no meltdowns, hallelujah.

Countdown to the BIG Birthday!

Blake's party is mere weeks away and I'm starting to wonder if I REALLY have it all under wraps. It will be a Lady Bug Birthday....I've got some decoration ideas, and hopefully most of you have got your invitations...even though I've had NO RSVP's..

I'm trying to decide about her cake.  While I have had high hopes of baking her cake myself, I realize now I'm fooling myself.  I want her cake to be amazing.  A friend has generously offered her assistance (love you Em!).  She made my baby shower cake, it was so cute.

I took Blake to the mall today to find her a few things.  I have the perfect outfit for her party!  I can't wait for you all to see her in it.

Pumkin Patch Fun

Today we took our first trip to the Pumkin Patch.  To be honest, I have wanted to go for years, but couldn't really see the fun in just Nick and I going, so today Nick, Me, Blake, Baus, Lindsay and Lexi ALL went!  The girls had so much fun.  They loved the big slide and the bounce house.  We took a hay ride and LOTS of pictures.  Nick and Blake are both now asleep, but I couldn't wait to share our pictures with you.   Blakes favorite part was eating the hay....go figure. Answered Prayer!

Blake will now be attending YOUNG CHILDRENS WORLD at our church on Thursdays!!! Those of you who know me know that Thursday child care has been heavy on my mind for literally MONTHS now.  I am so thankful that she will be going somewhere I trust/close to home/reasonably priced.  This is such a burden from my shoulders and I know it is 100% because I have lifted it up in prayer.  

God is faithful....ahhhhhhhhhh.  I am breathing easier.

Monday Blog

I have had trouble getting good pictures of Blake, mainly because if she sees the camera she comes running after it!  I have many "action" shots of her running toward me, but very few good pictures.

Blake now has three words she will says consistently:  Daddy, Bubba and "HI".  

While shopping at Target this week she would burst out with a powerful "HI" and wave her little hand at anyone she saw.  I remember seeing babies do that Pre-Blake and thinking how sweet and innocent it was, and now it's even sweeter.

Blake will turn ONE YEAR OLD next month!  Birthday invitations are going out, if you don't get one it's because with the recent computer crash addresses have been hard to find, so you can email me your address if you want to sarahlindsaybarker@yahoo.com.

Oh, I almost forgot!  I turned 26 last week.  Blake and I had a lazy day at home...then we went to Double Dave's Pizza for dinner ( a favorite of mine).

Friday night Nick and I got to go on a much needed date night.  It was so fun!  It really feels like "dating" again when we hadn't got to be alone for a meal like that in so long!!

I also got some fun stuff from friends, and a scrap book kit from my sister in law.  Yes world, I will attempt to scrapbook.  No promises, but I'm excited to try.  Baus and Lindsay brought me a cake Wednesday night which was such a sweet suprise...I've been eating it for several days now.....
