Barker Family Reunion

The reunion was fun, the rain held off for the afternoon...so we were able to enjoy home cooking, sack races, the view of Toad Suck park, and all the Barkers in one place! I won the door prize, it's a homemade pillow with pictures of the family on it. Alexis won the "Youngest Barker" and PaPa won the "Oldest Barker". I ran off and left my camera, but Rennette was nice enough to send me some of her pictures...here ya go. On a side note....the weather lastnight for our flight home did not hold off, so we spent about 3 hours in the luxury of Little Rock Nat'l Airport with a 6 month old :) She was a trooper and thank goodness fell asleep 5 minutes before we boarded and didn't make a peep the whole flight home.

Here we come!

This weekend will be the big Barker Family Reunion. We haven't been in a few years and I am so excited to see everyone. I love that it is a whole day to spend with just family and catch up since we live a state away. Nick really has an awesome family, they are so close knit and loving. If I could chose one person on Earth to be when I am a Grandmother it would be Dollie Barker, she amazes me how she knows every birtday of every child, grandchild, great-grandchild and even all of their spouses. She speaks up when it is called for and I LOVE that! She loves Christ and serves him with her life. What an inspiration.

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for Baby Blake..I read this verse and it reminded me how much God loves her too.

Psalm 76:1 Yes, you have been with me from birth;from my mother’s womb you have cared for me.No wonder I am always praising you!
