Busy Week

We have had a busy, fun filled week.  Nick's parents came from Arkansas.  We went Sunday to
watch Baus, Nick's little brother race motorcycles...we packed up the Expedition with toys, fans, snacks and blankets and tried to not get too hot.  The girls had a great time and Baus raced really well.  GO BAUS!!

Here are some pictures from our day.

Sunday Afternoon

Babies are sleepy after a long Sunday morning...

Congratulations!

We want to wish my sister Heather and her husband Clint a great big Congratulations on their pregnancy!!  They are due late March/early April and will be fantastic parents!!

We can't wait to watch them be parents and we definately can't wait to meet the precious new baby next year! They have lots of neices, so it will be fun to see if they will
 add another girl
to the family or a
baby boy.

I pray God would bless them through this experience and that they would enjoy and treasure each moment.

We love you Heather and Clint!
Love,
Sarah, Nick and Blake

9 month stats

Here are the numbers

Weight:  20 lb 12 oz (50-75th %tile)
Height:  30" (> 95th %tile)

Blake had to get one shot and I think she was determined to prove the nurse wrong.

The nurse had said "I'm sorry honey, this will make you cry."  And all Blake did was a little frown, then was fine...no wimper, no tears.  I brought her home and laid her down for a nap!  Ahhhhhh..I doubt that will happen again, so I'm just enjoying it.

Everything looked great.  Growing and developing and eat just like she should!
Love you all,
Sarah

Happy 9 month Birthday Blaker

Blake is 9 months old today.  I can't believe these months have flown by so quickly.
Nick pointed out yesterday that she had been "out" of me as long as she was "in" me :)

Blake,
You fill my life with more joy, more smiles, more fun than I ever knew I could have.
It is the best job in the world to be your mommy and get to see you, and hug you and kiss you every day.  I will always, always be here for you.  I promise to try my very hardest to always do what is best for you, to show you the way to your Heavenly Father, and to provide all the love and support you need to become the awesome girl you are.  You are such a big girl and learning and growing every day.

You and your Daddy are my world, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

All my love,
Mommy

Phew!!

I finished painting the kitchen, so everyone needs to come over and admire my painting skills.  I never want to paint again, but I bought enough paint to re-do the living area, so maybe in a few years I'll be motivated to work on it :)

Last week I had to worst day in my professional career that I have ever had . A doctor was completely rude and horrible to me.  I cried at work (SO embarassing), I cried on the way home and I cried that night. The story would take to long to tell here and it would have to include way too much medical terminology, BUT why I am mentioning  it is to say that my manager completely stood up for me and I LOVE her for it.  She always does and I couldn't ask to work under someone better.  The down side is I will probably have to face said DR this weekend.  I am NOT looking forward to that.  So keep me in mind that IF I have to work with him that I will be calm and controlled and professional.

Blake had a new sitter this week and it worked out great. Grace is a family friend and  will be staying with Blake Thursdays this Month so I don't have to pull all weekend shifts (I don't think I could bear it!!)  Nick stays here and Grace comes and plays with Blake so Nick can work from home.  I'm thinking working one day a week sounds just right.....maybe someday not too far from now.  I'll keep praying..  In other news, Blake took THREE steps in a row!  She's going to be walking around here so soon :)

After getting advice from some friends of ours, we have started doing "pack n play time". It is sooo nice!  For 30 minutes after she eats in the morning and afternoon she just plays in her pack n play.  It is in the living room so I can see her and she can see me.  I put plenty of toys in and she plays great by herself.  This gives me a chance to have breakfast/lunch and get ready for the day.  I highly recommend it!

Here are some pictures from this week.

Hey! Cute Kids!

My friend Alison came over today and brought her two sweet little boys, just for fun we had a mini photo shoot and here are the results!!  All the off-color ones are the result of my trial copy of adobe light room...very cool.

P.S. Thanks to all the friends that checked on us and helped keep us occupied this week, whether with visits or just chatting on the phone...we really appreciate it, I think I would have gone crazy without you.

Big Kids Rock!!

We love BIG kids around here, so my best friend Jodi brought her daughter (Brianna) over for an afternoon of play.  She did a great job watching Blake while I tackled painting the kitchen (half done,   phewwwww).  Blake followed her around and wasn't concerned with Mommy as long as Bri was around :)  They had so much fun, I think we'll have to do this WAY more often.  Thanks Jodi for my mini-babysiter!!

Our brown eyed girls...

Jodi and I met on our orientation day for nursing school, I remember she was talll (like me :)  and was reading "The Purpose Driven Life"...and I remember thinking she looked like someone I would want to be friends with....and we instantly did.  We shared the hardship of nursing school, finding jobs everything else that comes with life.  She is an amazing Mom, and drove me crazy how she could cram the for a test the morning of and do better than me!!  She is the best friend a girl could ask for, I love that when I call her I don't have to have a reason, it can be just to talk....and she is the easiest person to talk to, she always has the advice I neeed and is never judgemental. She is smart, funny, and confident, and I love her!
Here are a few pictures from out past..
