Story Time (for Jodi :)

Blake loves to be read to...we read several books a day, though it's harder now because she likes to play with the books so sometimes we don't read so much as just play.

She is sitting up all on her own!  What a big girl!!!

Little Red Wagon

I know I've posted a ton of pictures lately, but Blake is so precious I can't help myself.

Nick took Blake to get a Radio Flyer wagon this past weekend and she LOVES going for rides...here's the proof :)

blake is changing soooo much right now, she rolls and rolls and rolls, you can't keep her in one place.  she also scoots!  she is rocking back and forth on all fours which makes me think she will be crawling before we know it.  

in other news, I have the next 3 sundays off!!  hooray!  God has really provided for us.

Today...

Today is the one year anniversary of my grandpa's passing.  He was an amazing man and I try to live my life with the same passion, generosity, and honor that I saw in his example.  He is missed greatly by all that knew him...

God used him in many ways, specifically prison ministry and mission work to Central America.  Though he never got to meet Blake face to face, I know that he loves her and that he is proud of the sweet little girl she is growing in to.  

We love you grandpa..

Thought of the day....

Is it wrong that I enjoy watching "The Biggest Loser" while eating bluebell icecream with chocolate sauce?????? I hope not cause that's what I've done every Tuesday night for the past month....

This and That

Blake had her first go at rice cereal this week...here's the proof!






She does a lot better at eating it than I thought she would, she likes to dive for the spoon.

In other news, Blake is sick.  She has a cold again, but this one has made her cough and cough and cough.  So sad, I feel so bad for her.  She remains giggly and happy though.  I took her to the doctor today just to make sure it wasn't anything more than a cold, and he commented on what a happy baby she is, always smiley, we are so lucky.

Oh, AND hopefully Nick will be starting to work from home one day a week very soon!  Which would mean I could be off some weekend days!  I hope!!! I've been praying about this for a while, and we have been blessed to have someone agree to keep her just a few days a month (thanks Jennie and Ashley!!) so this would be a blessing on top of a blessing to have some 
time off 
together as a family.

Whew!!!

What a crazy few weeks our family has had...

First last week we had my Mom, neice (Caitlyn), nephew (Stephen) and sister in law come for a short tri p...we had such a blast.  We went to jump world (without the camera unfortunately), the zoo (sans Bl ake and my Mom), and just hung around the house.  Stephen and Caitlyn absolutely love Blake, and she loves them too!  They entertained each other the whole trip.  What a blessing to have them come visit.

This week we went to see the rest of the family.   We stayed with my step sister and had a nice, relaxed week.
